Dr. Pedro T. Orata Nobility Program
In homage to the founder of the institution, Dr. Pedro T. Orata, Urdaneta City University (UCU) launched the Dr. Pedro T. Orata Nobility Program in 2020. The program recognizes Dr. Orata's significant contributions to the Philippine educational landscape and the spirit of nobility that defines his legacy.
To cultivate this spirit of nobility within the UCU community, the University identified four core values that serve as the foundation of every UCU student's formation. Consequently, all university programs and activities are guided by these core values: Integrity, Competence, Teamwork, and Transcendence.
Integrity
True UCUians, imbued with the spirit of nobility, live their lives guided by honesty and authenticity. Their words and actions consistently reflect decency, honor, and integrity. They remain committed to the truth, even when it is the less popular path.
Competence
Passion for excellence inspires noble individuals to excel in their chosen fields. They strive beyond mediocrity by continuously developing the knowledge and skills necessary to establish expertise and credibility. They carry forward Dr. Pedro T. Orata's pioneering spirit by embracing innovation while preserving traditions of excellence.
Teamwork
The spirit of nobility encourages UCUians to work together in achieving common goals. With humility, they recognize and value the unique strengths of every member of the University community, working collaboratively to realize the University's vision. They believe that "two are better than one" and understand that the best outcomes are achieved through unity, cooperation, and mutual respect.
Transcendence
Noble UCUians are selfless stewards of goodness and compassion toward their fellow human beings, the University, the community, and those in need. They willingly serve without expecting recognition or reward. Going beyond self-actualization, they strive to reach their fullest potential in service of noble causes greater than themselves.
