Guiding Philosophy

Urdaneta City University adheres to the educational philosophy set forth by its founding father, Dr. Pedro T. Orata, which is anchored on the following principles:

To instill the knowledge, abilities, skills, and attitudes necessary for individuals to become responsible members of society; enhance the quality of instruction to produce highly competent professionals; and harness the productive capacity of the country's human resources toward international competitiveness.

Research

To develop individuals capable of conducting scientific, innovative, and advanced research in the pursuit of new knowledge; provide leadership across various fields toward a dynamic and self-sustaining economy; and enrich the nation's historical and cultural heritage.

Community Services

To undertake participatory and inclusive extension services that are relevant, responsive, accessible, and equitable through efficient and effective community development programs; and strengthen symbiotic partnerships and linkages to promote intergenerational responsibility for the common good.
